Tennessee
Motorcycle Helmet Law
In Tennessee, all motorcycle drivers
and passengers must wear a helmet of a type approved by Tennessee's Commissioner
of Safety. Because requirements are subject to change, it's best to check with
the Commissioner before riding on a motorcycle in Tennessee.
The only exception to Tennessee's
mandatory helmet law is for those riding in an enclosed cab or a three-wheeled
motorcycle that is fully enclosed, weigh less than 1,500 pounds, and has a
capacity to maintain posted highway speed limits.
