Kansas
Motorcycle Helmet Law
In Kansas, the law requires only those
motorcycle drivers and riders under 18 to wear a helmet that complies with the
minimum federal safety standards.
All drivers and passengers, however,
must wear protective glasses, goggles, or transparent face shields that are
shatter proof and impact resistant, except when the motorcycle is equipped with
a windscreen that has a minimum height of 10 inches measured from the center of
the handlebars.
Kansas law does not require those who
ride in enclosed sidecars to wear a helmet or eye protection.
